Machine 2026 Tryout Information Sign-up

We will be having two rounds of tryouts with the dates and times below:

First round (invite only) - Saturday 4/18 and Sunday 4/19 9am - 1pm at Wash Park

Second round (invite only) - Saturday 5/2 9am - 1pm and Sunday 5/3 11am - 2pm at Wash Park

Invites will be sent out in the two weeks before the first round tryouts based on experience listed in this form.

Considerations: Machine traditionally practices on most Saturday/Sunday mornings from May through October at Washington Park on the south side of Chicago. Outside of practices, players attend locally formed pod workouts (consisting of throwing, footwork, and conditioning drills) one night each week, in addition to independent strength training. Team members are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. While the team does receive limited sponsorship and fundraising, total team dues and travel expenses for the season can reach upwards of $3,000, this year being more expensive with a trip to WUCC. We expect to be attending two regular season tournaments, Worlds, and the series in the fall, all of which will require flying. We recognize that participation in elite club ultimate comes with numerous barriers that do not affect team members equally. Machine incorporates a sliding scale system for team dues and is committed to making participation in the season financially viable for every team member.
